CALL FOR PAPERS

45th Annual Conference

Bayous, Basins & Balance
October 26-29, 2026
Hilton Capitol Center
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

MSAPMS invites presentations highlighting new and innovative work related to the biology, ecology, and management of aquatic and wetland plants. This meeting provides a valuable forum to share research findings, field experiences, management strategies, and lessons learned from across the MidSouth region and beyond.

Presentation topics may include (but are not limited to):

  • Innovative control measures

  • Re-vegetation and restoration projects

  • New or emerging exotic plant introductions

  • Stakeholder engagement, social media, or extension programs

  • Research initiatives and case studies

  • Regulatory or policy developments

  • Monitoring, mapping, or technology applications

We welcome submissions from researchers, students, scientists, applicators, regulatory professionals, and other resource management personnel. You do not need to be a professional speaker to present — if you are doing meaningful work in aquatic or wetland plant management, we encourage you to share it.

The strength of our annual meeting depends on the experiences and expertise of our members. We hope you will consider contributing to this year’s program.

NOTE: All registration fees and hotel costs will be waived for students who present during the general sessions (students will be assigned a roommate).
