MSAPMS/TVA Summer Aquatic Plant Management Workshop August 3 & 4, 2026 Lake Guntersville State Park, Alabama

The MSAPMS/TVA Aquatic Plant Management Workshop is a 2-day, field-focused training event designed to strengthen practical knowledge, professional connections, and workforce development in aquatic plant management.

This workshop brings together biologists, technicians, resource managers, utilities, industry professionals, and other stakeholders to discuss real-world aquatic plant management challenges and solutions.

Workshop goals include:

  • Providing practical, field-ready education
  • Supporting continuing education opportunities (CEUs)
  • Connecting professionals across agencies and industry
  • Expanding access to aquatic plant management training

In addition to professional attendees, limited space may also be available for lakefront property owners and interested stakeholders seeking a better understanding of aquatic plant management practices and working with professionals in the field.

We are also seeking sponsors to help support attendee access, expert instruction, and future workforce development efforts.

Early sponsors receive priority speaking opportunities and visibility.

This workshop is meant to complement the regular MSAPMS annual meeting workshop, not replace it. The focus here is on front-line staff, field application, and accessible training opportunities.
